Florida divorce decree
A Florida divorce decree used abroad has to be certified by the clerk of the circuit court in the Florida county that entered the judgment. A printout from a court website will be rejected.
What this document is
The final judgment of dissolution from a Florida circuit court. Foreign registries use it to record that a Florida marriage ended, often together with a marriage certificate.
What the clerk has to do first
The clerk in the county of the case has to certify the copy. Miami-Dade cases go to the Miami-Dade clerk, Hillsborough to Hillsborough, and so on. We cannot take a PDF from the online docket to Tallahassee.
Some clerk-certified court documents also need an extra $20 state combination fee. We include that in our price.
Marriage record plus divorce
Many foreign offices want both the Florida marriage certificate and the divorce judgment. We can file both in one order. Do not write on either paper.
How we file it
Get the clerk’s certified copy. Upload a photo or scan. Order. Ship. We file at the state office. Standard is $125 plus the Florida state fee ($10, or $20 if a county clerk certified the document). Rush is $199 plus state fees. Mailing it to the state yourself can take months, and a reject means you start over.
