Shipping a United Arab Emirates file from Miami
How long a United Arab Emirates apostille takes from Miami, how to pack the original, and what the Miami-Dade clerk still has to certify.
From Miami, a United Arab Emirates file still ends up on the same counter in Tallahassee. Miami does not have its own apostille office. Nobody’s county clerk can put this stamp on. Consulates, immigration law offices, and PortMiami freight files dominate Miami apostille volume. Spanish-language destination countries — especially Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, and the Dominican Republic — are the default use case.
Inbound from Miami is about two business days. That is transit to our desk, not the whole job. After the paper arrives we file it with the Florida Department of State. Courier drops are generally ready the next business day. Then the stamped original has to travel back to Miami. Add that return leg before you promise a consulate a date.
ZIP codes we actually ship into in Miami include 33101, 33122, 33125, 33126, 33127, 33128. Put a street address on the return label, not a P.O. box, if the carrier you chose does not deliver to a box. The order email tells you where to send the original. Do not mail it to the Department of State’s public address and also to us. One path. One envelope.
Pack the diploma or transcript flat. Do not laminate it to “protect” it. Do not staple through a seal. A cover sheet with your name, the order number, United Arab Emirates, and our phone number is enough. Photograph every page, front and back, before the envelope closes.
United Arab Emirates has been in the Hague Apostille Convention since 2023. The UAE joined the Apostille Convention in 2023. Government agencies now accept Florida apostilles for most filings. The shipping city does not change that.
Court papers from this area have an extra stop before us. A divorce, adoption, name change, or guardianship has to be certified by the Miami-Dade County clerk. We cannot certify it for them. Build that week into the plan if you later add a court paper to the same shipment.
Florida charges $10 for the apostille on this paper. Our filing fee is separate, and so is return shipping. Our standard filing is $125 for the first document and $65 for each additional document in the same order. Rush is $199 and $85. The $20 PDF scan is optional and does not replace the original. Prices lists it without bundling the state fee into a fake flat rate.
Here is the same job as a week in Miami, Miami-Dade County, not as a slogan. Monday, you already have the diploma or transcript in your hand, or you are still waiting on the issuer and you do not pretend otherwise. You upload the photo. We either tell you to mail it or tell you what is wrong with it. Tuesday you ship, with the order number on the label. Transit from Miami is about two business days. The paper reaches the desk, we compare it to the photo, and it goes to the Florida Department of State on the next business-day drop.
United Arab Emirates has been in the Hague Apostille Convention since 2023. The requests we actually see for United Arab Emirates tend to be work visa applications, business formation, credential verification, marriage registration. When the stamped original is back in Miami, that is the moment a translation can start, if United Arab Emirates asked for one. It is also the moment a PDF scan matters, if you bought the $20 copy so someone abroad can read the stamp before the courier arrives. The original is still the thing you carry to the appointment.
This week cannot start until the issuer has signed. The school has to be a Florida school. The usual paper is an official transcript with the registrar’s signature, or a Florida notary’s true-copy statement attached to a copy the school issued. A student printout from a portal is not official.
Can you apostille a diploma or transcript for United Arab Emirates without a trip to Tallahassee? Yes. You mail the original. We file it. It comes back to Miami with tracking. United Arab Emirates has been in the Hague Apostille Convention since 2023.
How long from Miami? Plan about two business days for the original to reach us, a business day at the state for a courier drop, and return shipping. Rush is for when that calendar is already tight and the paper is already clean.
Will United Arab Emirates accept a photocopy if the apostille is real? No. An out-of-state school never becomes a stampable original. Get a new certified copy instead of paying twice.
Return shipping is part of the job, not a footnote. Pick the FedEx service that matches the date you told the foreign office, and remember that a business day at the state sits between those two rides. From Miami, about two business days inbound is only half of the travel. The label home is chosen at checkout so you see the number.
A photo review is a real review. We are not collecting pictures for a gallery. If the picture is dark, crooked, or missing the page with the seal, send another one before you buy a label. The seal page is the page. A beautiful first page with the seal cropped off tells us nothing.
Keep the certified copy flat in the envelope. Folding through an embossed seal cracks it. People then ask if the crack “still counts.” Do not find out. A rigid mailer costs less than a new certificate. Vital records are on security paper that shows a crease forever.
Tell the foreign office the truth about timing. “It is apostilled” means the certificate is attached and you have the original back. It does not mean you paid us this morning. United Arab Emirates will want to see the paper, not a receipt. If they need an advance look, add the $20 PDF on prices and still wait for the original before you travel.
One Florida document, one state fee, one apostille. There is no family rate at the counter that covers a spouse and a child on a single certificate. If three people need three birth records, that is three certified copies and three stamps. Set the order up that way. Several documents explains the invoice.
If a lawyer, a translator, and a courier are all in the email thread, pick one person to receive our questions. Three replies that contradict each other are how the wrong paper gets shipped. Put that person’s phone on the cover sheet. (855) 261-8500 reaches us during the business day if the thread is stuck.
